I am a distance runner as interested in food, booze, and dancing as I am in singlets and time chips. I love a beautiful cocktail dress, bright nail polish, and Asic Gel-Kayanos. I am an avowed and enthusiastic fan of Huey Lewis and the News. I will run a marathon in all fifty states by my fiftieth birthday.

Yes We Can wear winter white!  Above is my outfit (French Connection lace shift over opaque brown tights and brown heels from the Christmas cocktail thrown by [Boyfriend] and I for fifty of our nearest and dearest on December 5, 2007.  The dress, which was really more of a cream hue, paired perfectly with pearl jewelry, “Burgundy Bronze” lipstick by Clinique, and ever-flowing pinot noir.  I love white for Yuletide entertaining because it still looks unexpected and breezy, even when anchored with heavy accents.  Keep the texture substantial and the hot toddies hot, and always apply bronzer with a liberal hand.  “Winter white” should refer to your wool pants, not your complexion.
