Remember when I fell in love with Tropper’s book This Is Where I Leave You? Well, a couple weeks later, I cold-emailed his publicist for an interview regarding his new novel. (It hits bookstands today.) He obliged, we had a fantastic half-hour chat by phone, and one day later, One Last Thing Before I Go arrived in the mail. I was ecstatic. This is what my job lets me do: meet the artists and writers and musicians I most admire and learn about how they write, what inspires them, and what they want to do next. They in turn inspire me, and when my interview gets published in RL Magazine, I hope it does the same for you.
Tropper will be at Barnes & Noble in Columbus Circle this evening, starting at seven o’clock, to sign copies of OLTBIG. Maybe I will see you there!
