We’re going to Day & Night tomorrow—one of those all-hours brunch parties that the Times found so fascinating a few months ago. This will be my maiden voyage so I am scared. But Champagne is involved…with sparklers…
I was thinking recently about that article that urged us to consider Champagne for everyday imbibing and not just “the scrap heap of obligation”, and decided that absolutely not, under no circumstances should Champagne be relegated to the Tuesday night dinner table like so many bottles of Yellowtail. If we don’t have something special to anticipate, to toast the extraordinary, even if it is just the bubbly itself, then what do we have?
The above worn two Saturdays ago—dress and heels by Ralph Lauren, coat by J.Crew.
