About once a quarter I get in the kitchen and actually bake something, and it usually turns out so decent that I think, “Let’s bake every day!” (Fortunately that zeal wears off after the last measuring spoon has been thrown back in its drawer.) Yesterday I spied these peanut butter blossoms on A Lovely Escape and was instantly inspired. The recipe is idiot-proof (but I swapped shortening for unsalted butter), the process pain-free, and the results—all 45 of them, see above—were a huge hit this morning at the office. Let’s bake every day!*
*Let’s don’t and say we did.
